The Grange is run by husband and wife team Gethin & Nikki Pearson.
After 18 years of living in London they decided to relocate to South Wales where Gethin grew up. Their main passions are cycling & food so setting up a Guesthouse was a great way of getting to combine those loves, whilst providing a great base for people to explore the beautiful South Wales countryside.
Gethin got back into cycling in 2008 after he stopped playing Ice Hockey and needed to do something different to balance out his love of food and wine. Commuting to work led to a conversation with his friend Jon who persuaded him to buy a road bike and enter “London to Paris in 24 hours” in 2010. The cycling addiction bit hard and the rest is history. You’ll either find Gethin out on a bike, working in the garden or in the kitchen cooking for you.
Nikki is a talented baker and you’ll no doubt sample her creations whilst staying with us, as if there’s one thing everyone loves, especially cyclists, it’s cake. She started cycling when she realised she wasn’t seeing much of Gethin at weekends and joined him on the 2013 edition of L2P24.
Both are keen followers of women’s cycling and when time allows can often be seen at races with cameras in hand.
