Food & Drink is at the heart of what we do at The Grange.

From home-made cake & biscuits to welcome you when you arrive, our fantastic breakfasts that are included in the cost of your stay through to great, locally-sourced evening meals to set you up for whatever you’re doing the next day.

Breakfast

Our breakfasts are served either around the huge island in the kitchen or at the communal dining table in the lounge. Whether you want a light start of Muesli, fruit and yoghurt; an eggs with our home-smoked salmon or a cooked breakfast we’ve got something to get your day started properly. We use high-quality, locally sourced ingredients that will set you up for the day, whatever you’re doing. Best of all, breakfast is included in your room rate.

Lunch

Our guests are almost always out enjoying the local area at lunchtime, so we don’t normally offer lunch, however we can always be relied on to knock up a quick snack if you’re feeling peckish. We can also sort out takeaway lunches to keep you going if you’re out walking or cycling.

Dinner

It’s good to get together with your fellow guests and talk about the day – especially if you’ve been out cycling or exploring the Beacons. We serve freshly prepared local produce to set you up nicely for the next day’s riding.

Please let us know in advance if you’re interested in dining with us as we don’t cook for guests every night. When we do dinner, it’s normally priced at £10 for 1 course, £15 for 2 courses & £20 for 3 courses. If prices are different for the meal we’re cooking that night, we’ll let you know in advance.

If you have a group booking with us, drop us a line to discuss arranging slow-cooked BarBQ packages – and if that doesn’t appeal, we can tailor a different menu to your group’s requirements.

Eating out

We know you won’t want to eat with us every night of your stay, so we’re happy to recommend and book places we know and love in the area for you. The map below shows a selection of our favourites – but be warned, the best places in the area are very popular at the weekend so make sure you book in advance if there’s somewhere you definitely want to visit.

Drinks

We’re a fully licensed Guesthouse and offer a great range of local Welsh beers & ciders as well as a fully stocked wine cellar supplied by our favourite wine merchants.

We currently stock 15 different local beers from the likes of Grey Trees, Tiny Rebel, Mad Dog Brewing & Pipes. For cider drinkers we have 8 still and sparkling ciders from Gwynt-y-Ddraig & Hallets

We don’t believe in big mark ups on our drinks – so you’ll find great drinks at prices that will be a pleasant surprise.

We also have a wide range of soft drinks, with free tea, coffee and mineral water available throughout your stay.

Our suppliers

We believe in local and source our food and drink from our favourite suppliers in the South Wales area.
